My crayon is red

When I signed up for Sally Russick's One Crayon Color Challenge over at The Studio Sublime I wanted to give myself a bit of a challenge and use a color that I don't design with very often. I probably should have thought this through a bit more, because I really didn't have much to work with. Oops!

Because the color red often symbolizes passion, love, anger and energy. I wanted to create earrings with lots of movement and a bit of spice! I used copper headpins with red drops at the end and spiraled those around red glass beads that hang from copper hooks.

I imagine pairing these earrings with an outfit like Sarah from Pandora's Box is wearing is the above photo. She has an amazing sense of style and I love the red pants!

  1. Though you may not have had much to work with, you really did a lovely pair of earrings out of this challenge. I would totally wear them. I love that little swirl with the headpin that frames the other bead. Great work!

  3. I agree - I never would have thought to spiral the headpins like that. Very cute!
