Pinterest Obsession!

Not many people have caught on yet, but there is this amazing site called Pinterest.  The basic idea is that you have 'Boards' to 'Pin' things on. Anything you find throughout surfing the net. It's a fantastic way to save, organize and share ideas! I have spent way more time on this site than I should have in the last week, but I feel if you can get past the addiction it could be an invaluable resource.

I have boards for home, fashion, craft and, of course, jewelry inspiration. I've found tons of tutorials to try and can't wait to blog about them all.

If you have the whole day to spare (seriously, very addicting) then head over to the site and sign up! Be sure to follow me as well! <3

What I made

On Saturday my mom and I went to Goodwill, where I found a really cute black, kitten heal shoe that fit like a glove, but the mate was no where to be found! Even with my mom and a very helpful sales associate I was unable to find it. A very sad day indeed.

Anyway, I did get my hands on some jewelry goodies! Including these enameled flowers. I'm not sure what they came from; each has two small loops on the back.

And here is what I made!

Necklace and Bracelet Set (Materials: Vintage glass beads, silver and gold toned chain and two thirfted enamel flowers)

Anyone that knows me knows that I don't like gold, at all. But I have to say I really like the two toned effect going on here! Maybe I will experiment with this some more...

What I wore

1. Vintage locket with large purple crystal (Yard Sale 1.00)
2. Pearls, chain and pretty little flowers vintage necklace (Goodwill 3.99)

Here is some of my handmade jewelry that incorporates vintage pieces:

 1. Vintage copper flower clip-on earrings and old glass pearls.
2. Antique skeleton key (pendant) and vintage glass beads.
3. Vintage glass and plastic beads
4. 1970's Sterling silver and Venetian glass.

You make recognize number 2 from a previous post :)
